No PIRATE Christmas cards & presents this year

Over the last years we have sent hundreds of Christmas cards and presents all across Europe. While it’s always a great opportunity to send out a thank you message to those who supported us over the year, we are using the digital ways very efficiently to do that already. Therefore we have decided to use the money we had budgeted for paper cards and goodies and donate it. Our idea was to give to an organization that supports (future) entrepreneurs, in/from developing countries. That’s why a couple of days ago we publicly asked our community if they know non-profit initiatives/projects that support entrepreneurship and are in need of funding. Here is the original post.

We received many great ideas for organizations/causes and we picked one that is very much in line with our core values and provides great support to create a wave a new entrepreneurs: Techfugees. Our total donation is 1.000 EUR.

We’ve been following Techfugees for quite some time (they have been contributing to our events in the recent years as well) and think they beautifully combine helping refugees and sparking a sense of entrepreneurship ultimately creating the ground for many successful future founders.
